Football: Belgium 09/05

Cercle Brugge - Genk

Odds: 6.00 - 4.00 - 1.50

This si the Belgian cup's final. It's played at a neutral venue. Cercle is really busy with the relegation play-offs, I don't actually think they got time for this cup now. I've heard rumours they don't actually want to win this because this might cause financial problems in case they do win the cup. The winner of the cup receives an Europa League qualification. Genkt to lift the trophy looks a pretty certain bet. Genk is busy with Play-off 1 so basicall this match doesn't come at the right time for their either so be careful.

Snooker: matchday 28/04

King - Junhui (6-2 after the first session)

Odds: 1.80 - 1.95

If King keeps on playing like he did yesterday, this will be (surprisingly) an easy win for Mark King. I've never seen playing Ding Junhui that bad, apart from his two centuries. As I said yesterday, when u play against King ur playing against yourself. King really is on top of his game, I've never seen him playing that precise and efficiënt. A 6-2 lead might be illusive and can still be fixed by Ding, but there's no way he is going to win this one if he plays like he did yesterday. Another day, new chances, but I don't think King will give this one away. They playd ed a lot of scrappy frames, this is a serious advantage for Mark King, Ding got really annoyed and King punished him.

Football: France 28/04

Evian TG - Paris SG

Odds: 5.25 - 3.75 - 1.62

Evian is one of my favourite teams in France, unfortunately they are on the edge of relegation at the moment. They got a very good home record and they are going to fight till the end for this win. But PSG isn't going to hold back, they want to secure the title in La Ligue 1 as soon as possible. Evian and PSG faced each other one week ago in the French cup, they drew and Evian won after penalties (psychological advantage for Evian). I think a lay PSG isn't bad here. PSG does have the better players, no doubt about that, but Evian is a great side at home and they can't afford too many mistakes anymore.

Football: Belgium Play-off 1 28/04

Today we got two amazing matches in the Belgian Pro League.

Club Brugge - Anderlecht

Odds: 2.60 - 3.35 - 2.50

This is a classic, the "el clasico" in Belgium. Club Brugge (Bruges) isn't playing their best season ever, they do have some quality offensive players (Eidur Gudjohnsen, Carlos Bacca, ...), but as a team they aren't really playing smooth. Anderlecht has played a good season, they were almost certain to lift the Belgian throphy at the end of the season, but they are having a very tough time in the play-offs. Anderlecht has to win this match to regain the lead. The overall record for this match is  in Anderlecht's favour, but not by much. For Club Brugge, Europa League qualification is on stake, their season will be defined as "horrible" if they don't reach at least an EL qualification. A draw won't be easy to avoid when u choose a side on this one. It's just a gut feeling maybe but I think Anderlecht is more likely to take the win today. In fact anything can happen, don't bet high stakes on this one.

Standard de liège - Zulte-Waregem

Odds: 1.80 - 3.60 - 4.00

I didn't really get the odds at first, but they are slightly changing into Waregem's favour. Zulte-Waregem is playing an amazing season, is considered a mediocre team but this season they surprised everybody, even theirselves. At the moment they are in the lead, 1 point ahead on Anderlecht. Standard is playing a so-and-so season, it's a team you can't really rely on this season, very unexpected results. Zulte-Waregem keep on surprising us week after week, if they take the win today they are quite sure for a Champions League ticket, which is unreal. Their stadium's capacitance is 10.200 people, just to prove they are one of the smallest team in the Belgian Pro League. I'm not going to make any prediction for this match, Waregem won this match in the regular competition (0-1). I expect more goals today and who knows, another Zulte-Waregem win. They got an amazing away record because of their powerful counter attacks. In my opinion Zulte-Waregem is capable of winning this match again, but Standard is such an unpredictable team. Value is definitely with Waregem.

Snooker: matchday 27/04

O'Sullivan - Carter

Odds: 1.36 - 3.00

This looks like a first big test after Ronnie "the rocket" O'Sullivan's comeback, O'Sullivan beat Carter last year in The Crucible's final, but after his half-year break the question is: how good is Ronnie at the moment? Carter is a good player and O'Sullivan will have a tough time, I don't think the odds are a 100% right here. O'Sullivan is a joy to watch, but Carter won't be beaten easily. An over 21.5 frames bet looks good to me.

King - Junhui

Odds: 4.25 - 1.20

Mark king is a hard to define player, in fact, his opponent isn't playing him but himself. In other words, Ding Junhui will win when he is playing and lose if he makes too many mistakes. King surprisingly beat Allen in the first round, Junhui knows he can't afford too many mistakes in this match.

Football: Spain 27/04

Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid

Odds: 2.15 - 3.55 - 3.10

This battle of honour comes at a very bad time for Real Madrid so don't let the odds fool you. Real Madrid will still be looking for a miraculous win against Dortmund and will save their most important players. If Atletico wins they got equal points in La Liga, they are both qualified for Champions League though but it's still a prestigious derby. Young motivated Real Madrid players will get their chance so an Atletico win isn't quite sure here. I expect both teams to play very attacking because they both got nothing to lose here, it's going to be an entertaining match, that's for sure.

Football: Germany 27/04

Bayern Munich - Freiburg

Odds: 1.25 - 5.00 - 12.00

Bayern Munich won't play with their strongest 11 again because of the importance of the Champions League, that's for sure, but they are still an amazingly strong team. Last week's 1-6 win proves this fact. Don't underestimate Freiburg though, they are playing a teerific season, they don't want to lose this match, if they do they might lose their Europa League qualification. If you are looking for a funbet, try this one.

Football: France 27/04

Lorient - Marseille

Odds: 3.10 - 3.15 - 2.30

Lorient is a great mediocre team, they got an amazing home record. Marseille is still fighting for a Champions League qualification. I can't predict this one but it will be a very entertaining match this one. Carefully consider your bets, the French League is very hard to predict, a dangerous league. An over 2.5 is very risky in La Ligue 1, but an over 2.5 @2.00 is valuable here.

Football: Belgium Play-off 2 27/04

Play-off 2 is known as the unnecessary league in Belgium. This is the setup: two groups of four teams, the winners of each group play each other and the winner wins an Europa League ticket. So seven out of eight teams don't win anything at all. Gent actually belongs in play-off 1, but they've been playing poorly last season and need some reinforcement next season. In Gent's group the winner seems decided already, Gent. In the other group, everything is still possible and there are plenty of exciting games to come.

Lierse - Bergen (Mons)

Odds: 2.85 - 3.45 - 2.25

Lierse is playing very very poorly this season, they managed to avoid relegation but it was really close. In play-off 2 they drew one of their four matches and lost three. Bergen is a ver strange team, sometimes their matches are very exciting with a lot of goals and great wins, but they are very unpredictable. This is Bergen's last chance to prevent Gent from winning the group stage. I think the 2.25 is worth risking an away win, they are most likely to be the better side tonight.

Football: Belgium Play-off 1 27/04

The Belgian play-off 1 is a very entertaining event at the end of the Belgian season. Everything will be decided (the winner, Champions League qualifiers and the Europa League qualifiers). Every match is an important one.

Lokeren - Genk

Odds: 3.00 - 3.40 - 2.20

There is no doubt Lokeren is the underdog in play-off one. It's pretty unlickely but they might reach the Europa League qualifiers. Tnoight is their last chance for a small chance, Lokeren haven't played in an international competetion for years. Lokeren won one match in play-off 1 so far, a 4-1 win against standard, which was pretty surprising. Genk's season failed if they don't reach the EL nor the CL this season. 2 years ago they reachte the CL group stage, this year they finish first in the EL group stage with Basel, Sporting Lissabon, ... a great performance. They know the importance of today's match and won't be satisfied with a draw. An away win won't be easy but they are slightly in favour for a win tonight, consider a draw-no-bet on Genk tonight.

Snooker: matchday 26/04

Fu - Trump

Odds: 3.50 - 1.28

I think this match only got one possible winner: Judd Trump. The odd isn't worth it maybe but I don't see Trump losing this one. He is very motivated for this year's World Championship adventure. Fu beat Steven in the first round, Stevens played really sloppy at the start but Fu allowed him to make an amazing comeback and started playing pretty loose as if he lost his concentration. However, he managed to beat Stevens at the end. Trump will not make as many mistakes as Stevens did last match, Fu has to pull himself together if he wants a place in the quarter finals. If you want full value, consider a -3.5 frames handicap on Trump.

Football: Europe 26/04

Pretty poor offer today.

Heerenveen - AZ

Odds: 2.55 - 3.35 - 2.60

Heerenveen is running great in their last few matches, last week's draw against Ajax proves they are in a great shape. AZ is currently playing their worst season, they definitely want to win this one to make sure they are not going to get relegated. Mathematicallypossible remegation is still possible for AZ, pretty unlikely but they don't want to take any risks. AZ has a pretty good away record. This is definitely going to be an exciting game this one, an over 2.5 goals or even 3.5 are considerable.

Football: Europa League 25/04

Tonight 4 teams are going to be fighting for a place in the final in the 2nd most important international tournament for European clubs. The fact it's the 2nd most important trophy doesn't guarantee reliable results. The Europa League isn't a very profitable event for most betters, it's very risky because mose English- or Italian teams don't really care about this trophy. Let's assume the clubs will be taking it seriously at this late stage in the tournament.

Basel - Chelsea

Odds: 2.80 - 3.30 - 2.45

Basel is a very strong force, they know how to win games, not just in the Swiss football league. They haven't lost a single match in this year's Europa League edition at home. Chelsea had a tough time winning away matches, they lost at Kazan and Steau (quite comparable teams with Basel). I think Basel is capable of surprising Chelsea tonight, they know they have to win this one if they want to seal the deal at Stamford Bridge next week. I expect an attacking minded Basel, which will lead to one or more goals from the home team. Don't forget Chelsea is a world class team, they actually don't belong in the Europa League, this sure is an advantage but it might lead to a lack of motivation as well.

Fenerbahçe - Benfica

Odds: 2.95 - 3.25 - 2.35

One thing's for sure, the crowded Fenerbahçe stadium will have a significant influence on the match. I expect a very noisy and agressive match tonight. The main goal for Benfica tonight will be surviving this first leg and finishing Fenerbahçe at home next week. Benfica is the better side but they will have a very tough time getting a good result tonight. There are enough signs for staying away from this one. Tonight's referee (Mazic) is a very strict one, I expect some yellow (and posibly red) cards.

Snooker: Matchday 25/04

The biggest snooker tournament of the year started off last saturday. There has been plenty of surprising results so far. Willians, Higgins, Allen, Maguire, ... couldn't avoid elimination after their opening match at The Crucible. This proves it will be very hard to win some bets in this year's World Championship.

Murphy - Dott

Odds: 1.45 - 2.65

Both players struggled in the first few frames of their first match, but eventually they both managed to qualify for the next round. Dott had to face Peter Ebdon but couldn't really impress me. Ebdon is known as a tough player, he knows how to annoy his oppenents because of his very typical playing style. This is probabely the reason why. Personally, Murphy turned into one of the favourites to reach the final due to the unexpected eliminations. Murphy won the last 3 occasions against Dott. The odds and statistics are in Murphy's favour, but anything is possible in The Crucible.

White - Poomjaeng

Odds: 1.60 - 2.25

This is a very interesting game, both debutants managed to survive the first round, which is very exceptional. Poomjaeng is an amazing man, he seems to be quite calm as a debutant and loves to make jokes and interaction with the audience. He played brilliantly, great long-pot percentage, nice safeties and confident potting performance. White did excellent as well, he rather won because of a poor playing Higgins. thought, which wasn't the case in Poomjaeng's match against Maguire. Value is definitely with Poomjaeng, but chances are he won't reach yesterday's performance, the Korean man is ranked #70 and turned pro only 2 years ago. Will he be able to handle the pressure?

Football: Dortmund - Real Madrid

Odds: 2.65 - 3.50 - 2.55

This is a very tough match, especially because there is still the return to be played in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium next week. Dortmund won and drew against Real Madrid in this year's Champions League edition, but I wouldn't reflect too much on Dortmund's head-to-head 4/6, the semi-finals are way more important and Real Madrid will go for maximum value.

I'm not aware of any suspensions, the most important players will appear on the pitch tonight. There is one important aspect for the Dortmund side: Götze. It's confirmed already, Götze will be playing for Bayern Munich next season. Is it going to affect the team's and Götze's moral and performance?

Personally I think this first leg isn't going to decide which team will reach the final and I don't expect too many goals either, an over 2.5 isn't quite a sure bet in my opinion.

I would rather put my money on Real Madrid to qualify instead on betting on this match. I suggest you consider your bet very well before placing it. I don't see any value in betting Dortmund tonight, nor on Real Madrid. I reccomend you not to play high stakes tonight, just try your luck on some fun bets like Ronaldo to score outside the box, Pepe red card, ...

I expect a draw or close Real Madrid win, but I'm not risking my money tonight. Good luck!
